Terms of Service

The rules for using Revoice, purchasing credits, and creating or sharing synthetic media.

Effective July 23, 2026 Last updated August 7, 2026
Plain-language summary Use only voices, images, and other content you own or have permission to use. Do not impersonate, deceive, exploit, or harm people. Revoice is an experimental service, so review and label synthetic results appropriately.

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the operator of Revoice under the Balacoon brand. They apply to the Revoice service at revoice.balacoon.com. By accessing or using Revoice, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Revoice. If you have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must permit and supervise your use. If you use Revoice for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for it.

2. The service

Revoice is an Alpha-stage creative service for text-to-speech, voice conversion, synthetic voice chat, talking-head video generation, and a shared voice library. Features may be experimental, change, contain errors, or sometimes be unavailable.

AI-generated output can be inaccurate, unexpected, offensive, or similar to other material. You are responsible for reviewing output before using or sharing it and for deciding whether it is suitable for your audience and purpose. Revoice does not guarantee that output is unique, accurate, legally protectable, or fit for a particular purpose.

3. Accounts

You sign in through Google. You must provide accurate account information, protect access to your account, and notify us promptly of unauthorized use. You may not sell, transfer, share, or create accounts to evade limits, enforcement, or payment obligations.

4. Credits, prices, and payment

New accounts receive 10 complimentary promotional credits on first login. Promotional credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are not refundable.

Unless a purchase screen expressly states otherwise, paid credit packs are one-time digital purchases rather than subscriptions. The pack size, price, currency, taxes, and any special conditions will be shown before you confirm payment. Payments are processed by Stripe and may also be subject to Stripe’s terms.

Current credit usage is:

  • one credit for a successfully completed text-to-speech or voice-conversion request;
  • one credit for a successfully completed video-generation request; and
  • one credit for each block of up to 10 successfully completed synthesized chat replies.

A failed or cancelled generation ordinarily does not consume a credit. The service will show the applicable usage rule before or when you use a feature. We may change credit pricing for future use or purchases, but changes do not retroactively reduce credits already in your account. Taxes may be added where required.

Refund eligibility and instructions are in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

5. Your content and permissions

You retain whatever ownership rights you have in text, audio, voice recordings, images, prompts, and other material you submit (“Your Content”). You give Revoice a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, modify, transmit, and display Your Content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the service, enforce these Terms, and comply with law.

You confirm that you have all rights, licenses, releases, and informed consents needed to submit Your Content and use it for synthetic voice or image generation. In particular, you may not clone or imitate a real person’s voice or likeness without their permission or another valid legal right.

If you save a public preset, you also allow Revoice to make the submitted voice sample, image, name, description, and tags available to other users for the features offered by Revoice. This license lasts until the preset is removed, but content already incorporated into another user’s lawful creation or backup may persist.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Revoice to:

  • impersonate, deceive, defraud, misrepresent an endorsement, or present synthetic media as authentic evidence;
  • use a person’s voice, image, identity, personal information, or intellectual property without the required rights or consent;
  • harass, threaten, stalk, defame, exploit, discriminate against, or incite hatred or violence toward a person or group;
  • create or distribute child sexual abuse material, sexualize minors, facilitate grooming or exploitation, or otherwise endanger a child;
  • create unlawful pornography, non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexually explicit material involving a person without informed consent;
  • facilitate illegal activity, payment fraud, malware, unauthorized access, or evasion of law enforcement;
  • encourage suicide, self-harm, or dangerous acts;
  • probe, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, or bypass the service’s security, moderation, rate, or credit controls; or
  • resell access to Revoice or use it to provide a competing service without written permission.

When synthetic media could reasonably be mistaken for a real person or event, clearly disclose that it is AI-generated or altered. You are responsible for your use and distribution of output and for compliance with applicable law.

7. Public library content and moderation

Public presets may be submitted by users and are not verified or endorsed by Revoice. We may review, restrict, label, or remove content; restore or adjust credits; and suspend or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, rights protection, payment integrity, or enforcement of these Terms. We are not obligated to host any submission indefinitely.

Report suspected infringement, non-consensual voice or likeness use, or other harmful content to clement@balacoon.com with enough detail to identify the content and explain the concern.

8. Revoice intellectual property

Revoice, its software, interface, branding, and service content other than Your Content and third-party material are owned by or licensed to the Revoice operator. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose; they do not transfer ownership of Revoice technology or branding.

9. Third-party services

Revoice relies on services such as Google sign-in, Stripe payment processing, and infrastructure or AI providers. Third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for a third party’s independent services, but this does not limit any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, respond to provider changes, or improve the service. Where reasonably practical, we will give notice of a material change that adversely affects purchased credits. If we permanently discontinue paid functionality before you can use purchased credits, contact us for an appropriate remedy.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Revoice is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

To the extent permitted by law, Revoice and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity arising from your use of the service. For claims relating to paid Revoice services, our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Revoice in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD 100. This limit does not apply where prohibited by law.

12. Suspension, termination, and disputes

You may stop using Revoice at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, create legal or safety risk, fail to pay valid charges, or misuse the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including rights, payment obligations, disclaimers, and liability limits—will survive.

Before starting a formal dispute, please email us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. Applicable law and the courts with lawful jurisdiction will govern any unresolved dispute. Mandatory consumer protections and your right to bring a claim in a court available under those protections are not limited by these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Revoice changes. We will post the revised Terms here and update the “Last updated” date. We will provide additional notice of material changes where required. Continued use after new Terms take effect means you accept them, except where law requires another form of consent.
